Gurugram, July 14, 2026: Battery circularity and resource recovery company PeakAmp has entered into a multi-year Service Level Agreement (SLA) with electric mobility startup Curve Electric to strengthen end-of-life battery management and support circular economy practices in India's electric vehicle (EV) sector.
Under the agreement, PeakAmp will manage the collection, reverse logistics and environmentally responsible recycling of end-of-life batteries generated through Curve Electric's operations. Based in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, Curve Electric operates an e-bike rental and sales platform focused on promoting sustainable mobility.
As part of the partnership, PeakAmp will also serve as Curve Electric's official battery exchange partner, enabling customers to replace used e-bike batteries through a structured buyback programme. In addition, the company will facilitate recycling certificates and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) documentation to help Curve Electric comply with the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022 while ensuring end-to-end battery traceability.
The collaboration is expected to support responsible battery disposal, improve resource recovery and strengthen regulatory compliance as EV adoption continues to grow across the country.
Aditya Sudhanshu, Co-Founder & COO, PeakAmp, said, "As EV adoption grows, responsible battery management must grow alongside it. Our collaboration with Curve Electric ensures end-of-life batteries are collected, recycled, and brought back into the circular economy, while making battery replacement more convenient for customers. Partnerships like these are essential to building a transparent, compliant, and sustainable EV ecosystem in India."
Sheikh Yameen, CEO & Co-Founder, Curve Electric, said, “This partnership is far more than a recycling agreement, it is a strategic investment in the future of sustainable mobility. As Curve Electric expands its fleet and retail footprint across India, PeakAmp will play a critical role in ensuring every battery remains traceable, compliant, and responsibly recovered at the end of its life. Together, we expect this collaboration to support a battery circularity ecosystem over the next five years while strengthening our ESG commitments and creating long-term operational efficiencies."
The companies said the partnership reflects the growing focus within India's electric mobility ecosystem on integrating circular economy principles into business operations. By combining battery exchange services with compliant recycling and ESG support, the initiative aims to reduce battery waste entering informal recycling channels while promoting responsible resource management.
