KP Human Development Foundation’s ₹25-Crore CSR Project Nears Completion

New Delhi | September 14, 2026: Construction of Prabhu Nu Ghar, a dedicated old-age home for persons with disabilities, has reached 90 per cent completion in Uchediya village, Jhagadia taluka, Bharuch district, Gujarat. The ₹22–25 crore project is being funded by KP Human Development Foundation (KPHDF), the CSR arm of KP Group.

Spread across 90,644 square metres, the facility has a built-up construction area of 8,421 square metres and is designed to accommodate 200 residents. Located on the banks of the Narmada River, the project is intended to provide an inclusive and self-sufficient living environment for persons with disabilities.

Upon completion, Prabhu Nu Ghar will be handed over to the Disabled Welfare Trust of India, led by Surat-based Padma Shri awardee Dr. Kanubhai Tailor, for its operation and management. Representatives from KPHDF will also be part of the facility’s management board.

The facility will include a residential building, dining and health centre, double-occupancy accommodation blocks, prayer hall and temple, reception and administrative areas, guest house, staff quarters and a cowshed. A dormitory has also been constructed for devotees undertaking the Narmada Parikrama.

Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Founder, Managing Director and Chairman, KP Group chairperson, KPHDF, said, "Age and disability should never mean a life without dignity, comfort, or care. We have a special place in our hearts for especially abled people, and through Prabhu Nu Ghar, we want to give them a home in the truest sense, safe, self-sufficient, and full of warmth. This is not just a construction project for us; it is our way of ensuring that those who have often been overlooked by society are given the respect, security, and mainstream inclusion they truly deserve."

The foundation stone was laid on February 19, 2023, by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel alongside KP Group CMD Dr. Faruk G. Patel.

KPHDF said it currently collaborates with more than 30 old-age homes, orphanages and institutions supporting visually impaired, hearing impaired and other vulnerable communities. The foundation is associated with more than 150 institutions and undertakes humanitarian initiatives under its motto, “Human First.”
