Max Healthcare Foundation Expands Medical Scholarship to 250 Students
New Delhi | September 15, 2026: Max Healthcare Foundation has launched the fourth edition of its Max Medical Scholarship Programme, expanding the annual intake to up to 250 new MBBS students from 100 in previous years.
The programme will fully fund the medical education of eligible students from economically weaker sections who have qualified for the NEET examination and secured admission to MBBS programmes in government medical colleges across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Nagpur, Lucknow, Mohali, Dehradun, Bathinda and Bhubaneswar for the 2026-27 academic year.
The Foundation will also continue supporting students selected in previous years, who are now in their second, third and fourth years of medical education. This will ensure financial assistance throughout the five-year MBBS course.
Mrs. Taruna Soi, Chairperson, Max Healthcare Foundation, said “Financial constraints can often prevent bright students from economically weaker sections from pursuing their dream of becoming doctors. Over the past three years, the Max Medical Scholarship Programme has supported 245 students in pursuing their medical education. This year, we are significantly expanding the programme to support up to 250 new students, enabling many more deserving students to pursue their dream of becoming doctors without the burden of financial constraints. By supporting these future medical professionals, we are not just enabling individual aspirations, we are nurturing talent, breaking systemic barriers, and shaping a more inclusive and healthier tomorrow”.
Registrations for the scholarship will open on September 16, 2026, with applications accepted until October 4, 2026. Students can apply through the Max Healthcare Foundation website.
Selected scholars will receive comprehensive financial support for the duration of their five-year MBBS course. This includes tuition fees, a laptop, textbooks, medical learning tools such as a bone set, dissection kit and stethoscope, along with a monthly expense allowance and mentorship opportunities.
The selection process will include application review, shortlisting, interviews and verification of mandatory documents. Candidates will be assessed on socio-economic criteria and NEET rank, with the final selection undertaken through a jury from Max Healthcare Foundation.
The Max Medical Scholarship Programme is part of Max Healthcare Foundation’s CSR initiatives focused on supporting the educational needs of students from economically weaker sections and developing the next generation of medical professionals.
