Mumbai, June 26, 2026: Motilal Oswal Foundation has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zilla Parishad (ZP) Palghar to launch the Palghar District Education Transformation Program, a government-anchored initiative aligned with NEP 2020, NIPUN Bharat, and NIPUN Maharashtra.
Over the three-year period, the programme is expected to reach over one lakh students in grades 1 to 8, more than 98,000 anganwadi children, and 2,000 youth across Palghar district. Interventions will span 2,115 government schools, 22 private aided schools, and 1,634 anganwadi centres. The programme will focus on four areas: Early Childhood Education, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, Future Learning Skills, and Youth Skilling and Employability.
Under the arrangement, Motilal Oswal Foundation will provide strategic oversight, financial support, and programme guidance, while Zilla Parishad Palghar will lead implementation and inter-departmental coordination. A stated aim of the initiative is to institutionalise successful practices and training modules within ZP Palghar's systems to ensure continuity beyond the programme period.
Smt. Suneeta Agrawal, Vice Chairperson, Motilal Oswal Foundation, said: "Our foundation has a long-standing collaboration with schools in the Wada region, which has been ongoing for over a decade.
