Udaipur, June 30, 2026: Hindustan Zinc, the world's largest integrated zinc producer and one of the top 10 silver producers globally, continues to advance educational outcomes for students across 76 schools in rural Rajasthan through its flagship Shiksha Sambal initiative. Since its launch in 2018, the programme has benefited more than 47,000 students through year-round academic support focused on Science, Mathematics, and English.

As part of efforts to promote experiential learning, the company recently concluded its 9th Summer Camp, providing over 1,600 students with hands-on exposure to STEM, digital technologies, innovation, arts, sports, and other co-curricular activities. The camp was supported by volunteers from institutions including the University of Delhi and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), alongside company employees and local community members.

To ensure continuous learning during vacation periods, Shiksha Sambal conducts month-long residential summer camps along with non-residential camps across the company's six operational districts — Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Salumbar, and Udaipur.

Bhavesh Menaria, a participant at the 9th Residential Summer Camp from Government Senior Secondary School, Gawardi, Rajsamand, shared: "Before attending the camp, STEM learning and digital tools were merely concepts I had only read about. Working on hands-on projects with mentors helped me understand how technology can solve real-world problems."

Preeti Rao, a participant at the Non-residential Summer Camp from Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Agucha, Bhilwara, said: "Participating in the camp helped me improve my communication, problem-solving and digital skills. The exposure to new ideas and practical learning experiences has motivated me."

The programme's FY26 results show measurable academic impact, with students recording a 92.53% pass rate in Class 10 and a 99.43% pass rate in Class 12 board examinations. Of the 76 schools covered under Shiksha Sambal, 37 have achieved a 100% pass result, compared to Rajasthan's overall state pass rate of around 96%, which itself marks an improvement from the state's decade-long average of approximately 67.66%.

Hanshika Verma, from Government Senior Secondary School, Putholi, Chittorgarh, said: "The additional support helped me strengthen concepts that I struggled with earlier. The guidance and study material provided through Shiksha Sambal gave me confidence."

Mohit Meena, from Tidi Boys Government Senior Secondary School, Zawar, Udaipur, added: "Shiksha Sambal played a significant role in shaping my journey by strengthening my fundamentals. Today, due to which I am able to pursue my studies from a premier institute like IISER Pune."
