New Delhi, June 23, 2026: Yara India, the local arm of the world's leading fertilizer company, launched its 2025 Sustainability Report titled "Building Trust Through 15 Years of Responsible Growth" at an event held at the FICCI Federation House in New Delhi. The report, prepared in alignment with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Universal Standards 2021, covers the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance across its manufacturing facility in Babrala, Uttar Pradesh, its corporate headquarters in Gurugram, and its registered office in Pune.

The report is structured around Yara's 5Cs framework — Commit, Connect, Care, Concern, and Contribute — which is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addresses key agricultural challenges in India including climate change, water scarcity, soil health, and rural development.

H.E. May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway to India, served as the Guest of Honour at the launch. She said, "The India-EFTA trade and economic partnership agreement reflects our shared confidence in India's growth story and our commitment to deepening economic cooperation. Yara India's success over the past 15 years demonstrates how long-term partnerships, rooted in trust and sustainability, can deliver meaningful impact for farmers, communities, and the environment."

Sanjiv Kanwar, Managing Director, Yara South Asia, said, "We are proud to celebrate 15 years of growing alongside Indian agriculture with the release of our 2025 Sustainability Report. Trust is our metric of progress. Over the last decade and a half, we have integrated sustainability directly into the core of our business model — driving deep emission cuts in our operations, pioneering low-carbon logistics, and scaling digital agronomy. Through our team of expert agronomists and our digital ecosystems, we are equipping millions of smallholders with the precision tools needed to improve soil health, elevate crop yields, and build long-term climate resilience across India."

Among the key highlights, the report noted that Yara India reduced its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 3.4%, achieving a GHG intensity of 2.522 tCO₂e/tN — below the company's global target of 2.7. Logistics emissions were cut by 52.41% through the company's "Operation MoonShot" initiative, which leveraged rail and bulk-vessel shipping. On the digital front, the YaraFarmcare app crossed 6.15 million downloads, and over 19,000 partners joined the YaraConnect network.

The company also recycled 177.84 megalitres of water, harvested 90.285 megalitres of rainwater, and maintained a zero Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) for both employees and contractors. On the community side, Yara's Kiran initiative supported 353 Women Self-Help Groups, reaching over 4,700 women, while more than 20,000 students benefited from digital smart classrooms.

Looking ahead, Yara India said it will focus on expanding its bio-stimulants and biological solutions portfolio, improving efficiency at the Babrala plant, and strengthening its carbon-efficient logistics network.
