Navi Mumbai, September 27, 2023. Walplast Welfare Foundation (WWF), the CSR arm of DryChem India Pvt Ltd Group of companies, recently organized an event in partnership with Project Nanhi Kali, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality education and support to underprivileged girls in India. The gathering in Palghar, Navi Mumbai, brought together participants from the Nanhi Kali program, their parents, community partners, and representatives from both Nanhi Kali Foundation and DryChem India Pvt. Ltd.The event included a special performance by Nanhi Kali school children and the distribution of learning kits by the Walplast Welfare Foundation team.
Mr. Aniruddha Sinha, Head of Marketing, CSR, Toll Manufacturing & Business Head - P2P Division from Drychem India in his addresssaid, “I am extremely honoured to stand among these bright young minds of Nanhi Kalis and witness their unwavering enthusiasm for education. As we distribute these educational kits today, we do so with the understanding that we are not just providing materials; we are equipping these girls with the tools they need to dream, learn, and succeed in life. This event marks the beginning of a journey filled with hope, determination, and the collective will to bridge the gender gap in education."
Project Nanhi Kali focuses on empowering underprivileged girls by providing personalized EdTech learning through digital tablets, powered by artificial intelligence. This program aims to improve learning outcomes and raise awareness about the importance of girls' education in local communities. Additionally, a sports curriculum promotes holistic development. DryChem India employees will volunteer their time to enhance the skills of these girls and community members throughout the year, supporting education and community development.

Walplast Welfare Foundation's association with Project Nanhi Kali supports the education of over 816 Nanhi Kalis from Palghar (Maharashtra), Bharuch (Gujarat), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), and Nashik (Maharashtra) until March 31, 2024. Project Nanhi Kali, initiated by Mr. Anand Mahindra in 1996, has positively impacted the lives of more than 550,000 girls, known as "Nanhi Kalis," across 15 states in India over the past two decades.
