New Delhi, August 26, 2026: M3M Foundation’s VyaPower Entrepreneurship Development Programme is supporting women in moving from skill development to enterprise creation, with its first phase training 326 women and helping 87 launch micro-enterprises across Delhi NCR and Samalkha.
Funded by M3M Foundation and implemented by InShakti Foundation, VyaPower combines entrepreneurial mindset development, business fundamentals, technical trade skills and digital marketing with mentorship, exposure visits and post-training support. The programme is designed to help participants apply existing skills such as stitching, food preparation, beauty services, dairy and handicrafts to viable businesses.
Against an initial target of 300 women, 371 enrolled in the first phase, while 326 successfully completed training. A total of 145 women developed business ideas and 87 launched micro-enterprises, exceeding the programme’s target of 75 businesses. More than 80 customised business starter kits were also provided to graduating entrepreneurs.
The programme uses a 20-session curriculum covering trade-specific training, business-plan development, branding, market linkages and individual mentoring. M3M Foundation said the next phase will place greater emphasis on post-training mentoring, market access and digital adoption.
The initiative forms part of M3M Foundation’s broader work in skills, livelihoods and entrepreneurship. Through its Kaushal Sambal programme, more than 12,000 youth have received skill development training, while over 3,000 youth have progressed through enterprise development initiatives across 14 programmes. The wider programme ecosystem has recorded a 76% placement rate among youth trained in skills and 72% progress towards entrepreneurship and livelihood creation among those engaged in enterprise development.
The Foundation has also expanded VyaPower through a dedicated Learning Management System (LMS), allowing aspiring entrepreneurs, rural women, youth, micro-enterprise owners and grassroots organisations to access structured entrepreneurship education. The platform provides self-paced learning, standardised content, progression tracking and capacity-building support.
The digital expansion also includes a Train-the-Trainer model for NGOs, educational institutions, Self-Help Groups, community organisations and livelihood organisations, with the aim of enabling trained facilitators to support more aspiring entrepreneurs.
At the centre of the programme is Dr. Payal Kanodia, Chairperson & Trustee, M3M Foundation, whose approach focuses on building capabilities that can contribute to sustainable livelihoods and greater self-reliance. The Foundation said the longer-term success of VyaPower will depend on the ability of enterprises to sustain operations, reach new markets and create additional livelihood opportunities.
