Mumbai, August 25, 2026: Dignity Education Vision International (DEVI) Sansthan, a non-profit organisation working in foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), marked its listing on the BSE Social Stock Exchange (SSE) with a Bell Ringing Ceremony at the Bombay Stock Exchange, P.J. Towers, Dalal Street, Mumbai.
The ceremony brought together representatives from the education, philanthropy, corporate social responsibility and financial sectors. DEVI Sansthan said the Social Stock Exchange listing will provide an avenue for resource mobilisation while strengthening transparency, accountability and institutional processes in the social sector.

SBI Foundation is proud to partner with DEVI Sansthan in its foundational literacy and numeracy programme in Ranchi, and we look forward to seeing its impact reach more communities.”
Welcoming guests at the ceremony, Shri Nixon Joseph, Group Executive Director, DEVI Sansthan, said, “The Social Stock Exchange should not be viewed merely as another fundraising platform. It can serve as a catalyst for strengthening governance, transparency and accountability among non-profit organisations, while enabling organisations to demonstrate their impact more effectively.”
Dr. Sunita Gandhi, Founder, DEVI Sansthan, said, “This listing is not simply a milestone for DEVI Sansthan; it is a powerful opportunity to accelerate our vision of a fully literate India. The Social Stock Exchange can help us take evidence-based, scalable solutions such as ALfA to many more children, schools and communities, and bring us closer to a future where every child can read, write and do mathematics with confidence.”
She added, “I am deeply grateful to every partner, supporter, donor, educator and institution that has believed in our vision and stood with us on this journey. Their faith in DEVI Sansthan has made this moment possible. The SSE gives us an opportunity to turn that collective belief into even greater scale and impact for millions of children.”
Mr. Manish Michael, Head – Partnerships, Reliance Foundation, said, “DEVI Sansthan has been implementing impactful foundational literacy and numeracy programmes, and Reliance Foundation is proud that its partner is now registered with the Social Stock Exchange. This milestone reflects the importance of strengthening credible, impact-driven organisations working to address some of India’s most pressing educational challenges.”
Established in 1992 by Dr. Sunita Gandhi, DEVI Sansthan has worked on learning outcomes and education systems for more than three decades. Its flagship ALfA (Accelerated Learning for All) methodology focuses on foundational learning through collaborative and innovative pedagogies and is aligned with the objectives of the Government of India’s NIPUN Bharat Mission.
According to the organisation, its programmes have reached more than 19,000 schools and over 8 lakh children. The BSE Social Stock Exchange listing is expected to support DEVI Sansthan’s engagement with the social investment ecosystem, resource mobilisation and partnerships as it seeks to expand its interventions.
