New Delhi, 25 May, 2026: Vedanta Group has launched ‘V-Volunteer’, a digital volunteering platform aimed at enabling students, citizens, institutions and communities to participate in grassroots social initiatives across India.
The platform has been introduced to support structured volunteering opportunities linked to Vedanta’s community development programmes across nearly 20 states. Employees, business partners and family members will also be able to participate through the initiative.
According to the company, the platform has been designed to simplify participation in activities related to education, healthcare, nutrition, livelihoods, environmental sustainability, sports and rural transformation, with a focus on women and child development.
The platform will provide a single interface for volunteers to explore, register and participate in activities across Vedanta’s operational regions and Nand Ghar centres. Volunteers can engage in activities such as teaching children, mentoring students, conducting health and nutrition awareness sessions, supporting plantation and cleanliness drives, participating in animal welfare initiatives, promoting digital literacy and organising skill-development workshops.
Currently, more than 20 volunteering opportunities are available on the platform, with additional programmes expected to be added over time.
The company stated that the platform has been designed to support multiple formats of volunteering, including virtual sessions, short-duration activities and immersive field engagements extending over several days. It also includes digital tracking of volunteer participation, documentation of impact and issuance of certificates.
Priya Agarwal Hebbar said, “At Vedanta, giving back is in our DNA. Our purpose extends far beyond business and reflects in the communities we impact and uplift. With the launch of V-Volunteer, we are bringing together our entire ecosystem — employees, families, partners, and external stakeholders alike — under a shared mission of creating meaningful impact.”
Vedanta said the initiative is also intended to improve access to volunteering opportunities in remote and underserved regions where the company operates.
According to the company, it invested ₹422 crore in social impact initiatives during FY26, impacting nearly 70 lakh lives globally. The launch of V-Volunteer is part of Vedanta’s efforts to institutionalise volunteering and encourage wider participation in community-focused initiatives.
