Bengaluru, June 26, 2026: MrMed, a specialty and super-specialty medicine platform, has launched "Care for the Caregiver," an initiative aimed at supporting individuals caring for patients with serious conditions including cancer, rare diseases, and transplant therapies. The initiative was announced on the company's first Impact Day, observed annually on June 26 in memory of Late Mrs. Divya Jain, former Administrative Head of MrMed and wife of Co-founder Saurab Jain.
Under the initiative, MrMed has pledged 1,000 employee volunteering hours annually, during which employees will step in to assist with caregiving responsibilities, allowing caregivers time to rest or attend to personal needs. The company has also launched a platform for caregivers to register their interest and share feedback to help shape the programme.
Saurab Jain, Co-founder of MrMed, said: "Caregivers are an invisible backbone of patient care in India. They give enormously and are rarely given support in return. Care for the Caregiver is our commitment to change that — to show up for the people who show up every day for someone they love. The 1,000 volunteering hours we are pledging are a beginning, and we intend to build on this meaningfully as the programme grows. Impact Day is also a reflection of the values Divya championed throughout her time with us — service, empathy and a genuine belief that compassion expressed through action is what creates lasting change."
The launch coincided with MrMed's first Impact Day, during which employees across 16 cities undertook community service activities. In Bengaluru, volunteers partnered with Samarthanam Trust to conduct educational workshops and career guidance sessions for children and young adults. In Chennai, over 110 participants were reached through sessions on handwriting, hygiene, mathematics, and career guidance in collaboration with Don Bosco Anbu Illam, along with a substance abuse awareness campaign and a clean-up drive at Marina Beach.
Across the remaining 14 cities, employee activities included helping senior citizens register for Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY health cards, food distribution drives, tree planting, animal welfare support, and volunteering at old-age homes and orphanages.
