Mumbai, July 22, 2026: Motul India, a manufacturer of premium engine and industrial lubricants, has expanded its Sehat Ki Samriddhi healthcare initiative in partnership with Smile Foundation, increasing its outreach to 108 free health camps across 27 districts between April and December 2026. The programme aims to benefit more than 21,000 people, primarily auto mechanics and their families.
The expansion marks a significant increase from 51 health camps conducted in 2025 and 40 camps in 2024. Since its launch, the initiative has organised 91 free health camps across automotive hubs including Chennai, Pune, Kolkata and Mangalore, providing healthcare services to more than 18,300 beneficiaries, including 5,200 women and children.
The programme is designed to improve access to healthcare for auto mechanics, many of whom work without health insurance and face occupational health risks. Instead of requiring beneficiaries to visit healthcare facilities, the camps bring medical services directly to workshop communities.
Connect with 300+ corporates, foundations and social enterprise leaders.
Each camp offers consultations by multiple doctors, blood sugar and haemoglobin screening, essential medicines and first-aid kits. Motul employees and distributors also support the camps by assisting with registrations, health checks, kit distribution and crowd management.
Speaking about the initiative, Nagendra Pai, CEO of Motul India and South Asia, said: "Auto mechanics are the people who keep India's vehicles running every day, yet they remain one of the most underserved communities when it comes to healthcare. Sehat Ki Samriddhi's expansion to 108 camps this year reflects our deepening commitment to these communities. We want to ensure that auto mechanics and their families receive the care and support they deserve, right at their doorsteps."
Santanu Mishra, Co-founder of Smile Foundation, added: "Sehat Ki Samriddhi is a strong example of what happens when corporate commitment meets grassroots needs. Auto mechanics might be facing occupational hazards every day that go unaddressed until it becomes a serious health crisis. By bringing doctors, diagnostics, and screenings directly to these beneficiaries, we are promoting and ensuring preventive care."
According to Motul India, the initiative will continue to focus on improving healthcare accessibility for communities that support India's automobile industry through free preventive and primary healthcare services.
