Aries Agro Expands CSR Initiatives in Rural Education, Assistive Healthcare

Mumbai, September 4, 2026: Aries Agro Limited has announced two technology-led CSR initiatives focused on rural education and assistive healthcare, with a combined direct reach of more than 2,000 rural students, 55 visually impaired individuals and 90 upper-limb amputees across India.

The education initiative, being implemented with IndiVillage Foundation and rural schools in Rajasthan, will establish computer labs with laptops across eight rural schools where digital infrastructure was previously unavailable. The programme will provide structured training to 600 girls aged 6–16 in computer fundamentals, coding, Artificial Intelligence (AI), software design and game development. Another 1,500 rural students will receive foundational digital literacy training.

The initiative is aimed at improving access to digital education and STEM learning for rural students, particularly girls, while building skills relevant to further education and employment.

The second initiative focuses on assistive technology and rehabilitation for persons with disabilities. Aries Agro is supporting 55 visually impaired college students and working professionals in Lucknow and Ahmedabad with AI-powered smart glasses. The devices can convert printed text into audio in 20 languages and include features for object, currency, medicine and sign recognition.

The company is also supporting 90 underprivileged individuals, primarily farmers and daily wage earners in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra, who have experienced upper-limb amputations due to agricultural and workplace accidents. Through the initiative, Aries Agro is facilitating custom-fitted, lightweight electronic prosthetic hands designed to grip objects and lift weights of up to 10 kg.

The prosthetic support is complemented by physiotherapy training and personalised counselling to help beneficiaries adapt to and use the devices. For farmers and agricultural workers, the programme is intended to support activities such as driving, farming, writing and self-care.

The CSR initiatives are being implemented with technology developers, NGOs and educational institutions, including IndiVillage Foundation, Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow, Torchit Foundation and Inali Foundation.

Aries Agro said the programmes are intended to address gaps in digital access, gender equity in education and access to assistive technologies, while supporting greater independence and economic participation among beneficiaries.
