New Delhi, 09 June 2026: Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) has launched five new Solar Community Hubs across India, expanding its global initiative to bridge the digital divide. Developed with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and implemented by the Learning Links Foundation, the hubs will serve communities in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi/NCR, Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra, bringing solar-powered technology, AI-enabled learning, and employability pathways to youth, women, and under-resourced populations.
Each hub runs on renewable energy and is equipped with laptops, interactive screens, internet connectivity, and AI-enabled learning tools designed to reach communities regardless of existing infrastructure.
The expansion moves beyond foundational digital literacy by introducing customized skilling modules and structured employability pathways, extending support to over 50 vocational, higher-education, and community institutions. Training is aligned with emerging market demands to prepare participants for new and developing roles.
Since India's first hubs were introduced in FY23, the programme has reached 18 districts across 14 states and directly impacted 2.67 million beneficiaries. Globally, 63 hubs now operate across 12 countries.
"Dell Technologies is committed to India's vision of inclusive, technology-led growth," said Manish Gupta, President & Managing Director, Dell Technologies India. "The Solar Community Hubs are proof of what becomes possible when government, industry, and communities unite around a shared mission. These five new hubs will prepare a new generation of learners and workers for the jobs of tomorrow right in their own communities."
Flagging off the hubs and vans, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon'ble Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Minister of State for Education, Government of India, said, "Today's launch of the Solar Community Hub reflects a shared commitment to making technology and opportunity accessible to every corner of India. These hubs are more than digital spaces, they are centres of aspiration that combine clean energy, AI-enabled learning and industry-aligned skilling to prepare young people for emerging opportunities. I congratulate Dell Technologies and NSDC for this collaborative effort and look forward to seeing these hubs empower communities and strengthen India's journey towards inclusive growth and a future-ready workforce."
The new hubs build on Dell's stated belief that technology, when deployed with purpose, can be a transformative force for human progress, bringing local connectivity, skills training, education, and essential services directly to communities that need them.
