New Delhi, January 21, 2026: BC Jindal Foundation has announced a planned investment of ₹40 crore towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives across India in FY26. The funding will be directed towards strengthening healthcare, skill development, animal welfare and nutrition programmes by expanding existing interventions and launching new projects.
Through these initiatives, the Foundation expects to directly benefit more than 1.7 lakh people during the financial year. CSR activities will be intensified across states including Delhi, West Bengal, Haryana and Maharashtra, among others, as part of a wider effort to align social investments with national development priorities.
“Sustainability as an ideology plays a central role in all undertakings at the BC Jindal Group. The corporate social responsibility initiatives that we have undertaken so far and plan to further implement in FY26 reflect our commitment towards promoting this philosophy. As a responsible organization, we will continue to expand our projects while complementing to the Government of India’s agenda of achieving Sustainable Development Goals by 2030,” said a spokesperson of the BC Jindal Foundation.
In healthcare, the Foundation continues to focus on improving affordability, accessibility and quality of services. Its existing polyclinics in New Delhi, Nalwa (Haryana), Howrah (West Bengal) and Angul (Odisha) have helped reduce medical expenses for local communities while improving access to essential services. The Foundation plans to invest around ₹4 crore to further expand the Meena Devi Jindal Charitable Polyclinic in FY26–27, adding services such as dialysis, dental care, physiotherapy, pathology, diagnostics and healthcare skilling. This expansion is expected to benefit over one lakh people directly.
“In FY25–26, we have largely focused on enhancing the capacity of our flagship projects in terms of adding new services at our polyclinics to offer comprehensive healthcare services to unserved communities. In addition, we have also commenced the construction of a Polyclinic in the Nalwa and a Skill Centre at Belur, Howrah, this year,” the spokesperson added.
On the skilling front, the Foundation currently offers training across nine high-employability sectors and has achieved an approximate 70 percent placement rate. Its nutrition initiatives, which have delivered over 20 lakh meals to people below the poverty line, support the goal of zero hunger, while community projects such as drinking water facilities in Delhi and farmer livelihood programmes in Marathwada align with sustainable development objectives.
The CSR efforts are supported by the broader vision of the BC Jindal Group, founded in 1952 and led by Shyam Sunder Jindal, which operates across packaging films, energy and steel products. Through sustained social investment, the Group aims to strengthen community resilience while contributing to inclusive and long-term development outcomes across India.
