Ascott India Achieves 100% GSTC Certification Across All Properties

csr

Mumbai, 04 May 2026: Ascott India has announced that its entire operational portfolio in India has received certification from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), marking a milestone in its sustainability efforts.

With this development, all seven properties operated by Ascott India have met GSTC’s criteria covering sustainable management, socio-economic impact, cultural preservation, and environmental responsibility. The certification places the company among a limited number of hospitality operators in India to achieve full portfolio recognition under the global standard.

The milestone builds on earlier progress, including the certification of Somerset Greenways Chennai, which was the first Ascott property globally to receive GSTC recognition. Over the past four years, the company has expanded certification across its India portfolio.

Ascott India’s certified properties include Citadines OMR Chennai, Citadines Arpora Nagoa Goa, Oakwood Residences Kapil Hyderabad, Citadines Paras Square Gurugram, Oakwood Residence Naylor Road Pune, and Oakwood Residence Whitefield Bangalore.

The certification aligns with Ascott’s global sustainability roadmap, CLI 2028, which targets GSTC certification for all managed and branded properties worldwide, where feasible. The initiative is also aimed at strengthening the company’s positioning among corporate clients and travellers seeking verified sustainability practices.

Mansur Ahmed, Cluster Sustainability Champion, Ascott India, said, “This milestone reflects the collective commitment of Team Ascott India to go beyond aspirations and truly integrate sustainability into daily operations. We remain focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences while contributing responsibly to the destinations we operate in.”

Ascott India currently operates seven properties across key urban markets, and the GSTC certification is expected to support its broader sustainability and operational objectives.
