Bharti Airtel Foundation Marks 25+ Years of Education Impact

Punjab, September 9, 2026: Bharti Airtel Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, has marked more than 25 years of its education initiatives, reporting that its programmes have reached over 7.8 million beneficiaries across India.

Since its inception, the Foundation said its initiatives have reached more than 4.3 million students and 3.62 lakh teachers across 37,000 schools and 25,000 villages in 20 states. Its work spans school education, teacher development, government school partnerships, scholarships and higher education.

Punjab accounts for nearly 60% of the Foundation’s Satya Bharti School network and is its largest school education hub. The Foundation operates 85 schools in the state, serving more than 21,000 students, of whom 51% are girls. Its Quality Support Program (QSP) reaches over 42,000 students across 105 government schools.

Five Satya Bharti Adarsh Senior Secondary Schools in Punjab recorded a 99.6% Class X pass rate in the 2025-26 CBSE examinations, including a 100% pass rate among girls. The schools recorded a 99.53% Class XII pass rate, with girls registering a 98.6% pass rate.

Ludhiana has 42 Satya Bharti Schools serving 10,764 students from 150 villages. The district also has more than 4,400 users of TheTeacherApp, the Foundation’s free-for-life platform for teachers, school leaders, educators and parents. Through its QSP expansion, the Foundation is working with 12 government schools in Ludhiana, benefiting more than 4,000 students and 160 teachers.

TheTeacherApp now has nearly 3 lakh users across all 36 States and Union Territories, including more than 20,000 users in Punjab. The platform provides professional learning resources, AI-enabled tools and peer-to-peer collaboration through partnerships with NITI Aayog, state governments and education institutions.

The Foundation’s Satya Bharti Schools currently provide free education to more than 35,000 children through 147 schools in rural India. Its QSP has extended its teaching-learning practices to more than 1,200 government schools across 13 States and Union Territories.

In higher education, the Foundation supports university infrastructure and scholarship programmes, including the Bharti Airtel Scholarship, which currently supports more than 1,400 scholars, with girls accounting for 44%.
