Panchkula, February 04, 2026: Venus Foundation Trust, the not-for-profit corporate social responsibility arm of Venus Remedies Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Himachal Pradesh to support child welfare, education, and holistic development across Child Care Institutions (CCIs) in the state.
The MoU was formally signed by the Deputy Commissioner, Hamirpur, in the presence of the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), highlighting the district administration’s focus on strengthening institutional care through public–private collaboration.
Under the agreement, Venus Foundation Trust will design, fund, and implement programmes aimed at improving educational access, experiential learning, recreational exposure, and welfare infrastructure for children living in CCIs and other government-supported facilities. The initiatives will be implemented in coordination with district authorities and will adhere strictly to statutory requirements and child protection guidelines, with an emphasis on child safety and dignity.
The district administration will facilitate approvals and coordination to support smooth implementation of the programmes.
The partnership aligns with the state’s broader child welfare objectives, seeking to ensure that children in institutional care receive not only protection and essential services but also opportunities that support confidence, learning, and overall development.
Ekta S. Chaudhary, Chairperson, Venus Foundation, said, “At Venus Foundation, our work is guided by a simple belief — that meaningful social impact is created when care, education, and exposure come together to shape confidence and opportunity. Rooted in the values of Venus Remedies, our approach focuses on building long-term, enabling ecosystems rather than short-term or one-off interventions. We believe every child deserves opportunities that inspire confidence, learning, and hope for the future.”
The partnership will be operationalised through on-ground initiatives, beginning with an educational and recreational exposure visit for children from Bal Ashram, Sujanpur. Sponsored entirely by Venus Foundation Trust, the initiative will enable the children to travel via Chandigarh to Jaipur, where they will visit historical, cultural, religious, and educational institutions. The programme includes supervised travel and accommodation and is designed to provide learning experiences beyond the classroom.
Through this collaboration, Venus Foundation Trust aims to strengthen child care institutions and contribute to creating supportive environments that enable children in institutional care to develop skills, confidence, and broader life perspectives.
