Mumbai, August 05, 2026: ICICI Bank has reported that its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives have positively impacted more than 1.98 crore people across India as of March 31, 2026. According to the Bank’s ESG Report for FY26, its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) allocation increased to ₹994 crore in FY26 from ₹801 crore in FY25.
Implemented through ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, the Bank’s CSR initiatives focused on healthcare, skilling and livelihoods, environmental conservation, sports infrastructure development and financial literacy.
Healthcare remained the Foundation’s largest area of CSR intervention during FY26. Programmes focused on cancer care, cardiac care and vision care benefited 5 lakh individuals during the year, taking the cumulative reach to over 30 lakh people through partnerships with 600 hospitals since 2020. The Foundation also partnered with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, to develop an oncology research and innovation centre and commenced the construction of cancer care blocks with Tata Memorial Centre in Visakhapatnam and Navi Mumbai.
In the area of skilling and livelihoods, the Foundation reached 3.54 lakh individuals during FY26, taking the cumulative beneficiary count to 94.5 lakh. It upgraded nine National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) with 22 Industry 4.0 laboratories offering training in technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), semiconductor technology, electric vehicles, industrial automation, 3D printing and augmented and virtual reality.
Community development initiatives included strengthening sports infrastructure through partnerships with around 80 institutions, including Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools and Sports Authority of India centres. The Foundation also continued financial literacy programmes in collaboration with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and NIIT Foundation, reaching more than 2.76 lakh participants since inception.
On environmental sustainability, the Bank reduced its Scope 1 emissions by 32% during FY26 and reported an outstanding sustainable financing portfolio of ₹99,385 crore, including ₹30,704 crore in green financing. The Foundation also planted 86,600 trees during the year, taking the cumulative plantation to 50 lakh trees since FY22, while increasing cumulative water recharge and storage capacity to 3,437 crore litres.
