New Delhi, August 06, 2026: BC Jindal Foundation, the CSR arm of the BC Jindal Group, has announced that its Nutrition Support Programme has benefited over one lakh underprivileged individuals across 10 districts in four states. Backed by a cumulative commitment of ₹30 crore, the initiative provides nutritious, freshly cooked meals to vulnerable communities in the Foundation’s areas of operation.

During FY26, the Foundation allocated approximately ₹6 crore to the programme, distributing more than 25 lakh meals and serving over 8,500 people daily. For FY27, the Group plans to invest around ₹7 crore to provide over 28 lakh meals, with the aim of reaching more than 9,000 beneficiaries each day.

The programme operates across Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Nashik and Kolkata, in collaboration with local non-governmental organisations. It focuses on supporting children in shelter homes and open schools, families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, residents of old-age homes and people living on the streets. Meals are designed to provide balanced nutrition and are distributed through partner organisations that identify local needs and manage delivery.

A BC Jindal Group spokesperson said, "Our goal is to improve food and nutrition security for deprived communities by providing nutritious meals on a regular basis, reducing hunger and malnutrition, and ensuring dignified access to food for underprivileged individuals. Initially launched to address food insecurity, the program has evolved as a steady, dignified promise to ensure that no child, no elder or no street dweller will go to bed hungry.”

According to the Foundation, the initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) by addressing food insecurity and improving access to nutritious meals for vulnerable populations.

An independent impact assessment conducted in line with Social Audit Standard (SAS-100) found high levels of beneficiary satisfaction. The study reported that 72% of beneficiaries rated the programme 5 out of 5, while 25% gave it a rating of 4 out of 5, citing food quality, hygiene, quantity, taste and timely availability.

In addition to nutrition, the Foundation plans to expand its interventions in healthcare, skill development and animal welfare, with a continued focus on states including Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra and West Bengal.
