New Delhi, August 7, 2023: Social projects and initiatives that are driving change in the society and creating significant impact towards solving social problems will be recognised during the 3rd edition of TheCSRUniverse Social Impact Awards 2023 to be held on September 14-15 this year. The grand jury panel constituted to for selecting the best projects and initiatives include top academicians from IIMs, IITs, NLUs, IRMA and other Central Universities in India.
The categories in which nominations are open include Education, Health & Sanitation, Skill Development & Livelihood, Sustainable Environment, Women and Child Development, Research & Development, Microfinance. The nomination for the award is closing on Aug 10.
The 3rd Edition of TheCSRUniverse Social Impact Awards will be held along the annual TheCSRUniverse Social Impact Conference on September 14-15, 2023 in virtual mode.
The winners for last year’s edition of the prestigious award ceremony included HCL Foundation, ONGC Foundation, Tech Mahindra Foundation, American India Foundation, Buddy4Study, Manipur Government and Vedanta Group’s Sesa Community Development Foundation among the total of 21 winners. Last year, the award ceremony was held in virtual mode on September 8-9.
In 2021, a total of 21 social sector organisations & corporates were chosen for the ‘Award of Excellence’ for creating significant impact through their COVID Response initiatives. The winners of TheCSRUniverse Social Impact Awards 2021 included ONGC Foundation, Akshaya Patra, Swades Foundation, Tech Mahindra Foundation, Teach for India, GiveIndia, United Way Delhi, American India Foundation, Temenos India, ACT Grants, IndusInd Bank Limited, Samhita Social Ventures, ICICI Bank Limited among others for conceptualizing and executing projects and initiatives to meet the emerging social needs after the outbreak of COVID.

The Conference will continue to be in virtual mode this year as well.
“The unique feature of this year’s award is that we are allowing nominations for social projects executed in the last three financial years (2020-23),” Ms Kumar added.
According to Kumar, a multi-layered selection process led by the expert jury panel is in place to pick the best social projects under different themes. This year, the awards are being given in 17 categories including Education, Health & Sanitation, Skill Development & Livelihood, Women and Child Development, Incubators or Research & Development, Microfinance, Sustainable Environment, Promotion of Sports, Promotion of Arts and Heritage Preservation, Biodiversity & Wild Life Conservation, Differently-Abled, Welfare of Transgender, Rehabilitation of Sex Workers and their Children, Welfare for Senior Citizens, Welfare for Homeless and other Special Areas.
