Mumbai, March 24, 2026: Procter & Gamble India (P&G India) has awarded the P&G Shiksha Betiyan Scholarship to three students pursuing STEM education at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai, as part of its ongoing efforts to support girls from underserved communities.
The scholarships were presented on the sidelines of the 6th edition of the IIM Mumbai Equality Summit, in the presence of senior leaders including V Kumar, CEO – P&G India, Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Founding Director – IIM Mumbai, and Amit Chandra, CEO – Centre for Civil Society. The programme is implemented in partnership with the Centre for Civil Society.
The Shiksha Betiyan Scholarship is a component of P&G India’s flagship CSR initiative, P&G Shiksha, which focuses on expanding access to education. The scholarship provides financial assistance and mentorship to young women pursuing higher education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that scholarships have been awarded to students at IIM Mumbai, reflecting continued efforts to promote women’s participation in emerging sectors such as supply chain and manufacturing.
P&G Shiksha has completed over 21 years of operations, during which it has reached more than one crore children across India. The initiative has worked with multiple partners and grassroots organisations to improve learning outcomes and create sustained educational opportunities.
Enakshee Deva, Head – CSR & Communications, P&G India said, “As we mark 21 years of P&G Shiksha, we aren’t just celebrating a number; we are celebrating the 1 crore dreams we have had the privilege to support. For us, impact is never a solo journey. We thrive by partnering with like-minded and effective organizations to ensure that where a child comes from, never limits where they go. P&G Shiksha Betiyan Scholarships is one of our efforts to enable learning continuity. Our endeavour remains to support communities where we live and work, and play our part.”
The programme has also highlighted individual success stories, including that of a student from Himachal Pradesh who transitioned from preparing for government exams to pursuing artificial intelligence after receiving the scholarship, demonstrating the broader impact of such initiatives.
The IIM Mumbai Equality Summit, where the scholarships were awarded, brought together stakeholders from government, academia, and industry to discuss increasing women’s representation in STEM careers.
