NIIT Foundation, SVSU Partner to Train Students in AI, Cybersecurity
New Delhi, September 9, 2026: NIIT Foundation (NF) and Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), Haryana, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide students with training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and employability skills.
The CSR-funded programme will offer students free, industry-aligned training, with opportunities for practical learning, certification and placement support for eligible participants. The partnership is aimed at strengthening students’ digital and professional capabilities in line with evolving industry requirements.
Training will cover AI and cybersecurity fundamentals, digital defence, network protocols, cryptography, digital forensics, Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations, incident detection and response, along with employability skills.
The programmes will be delivered through a hybrid model combining Learning Management System (LMS)-based online learning, instructor-led sessions, self-paced modules and offline awareness or orientation sessions where required. Course content and learning access will be provided at no cost to SVSU and participating students will not be charged a training fee.
The programme portfolio includes Cyber Awareness, Cyber Smart & AI Prime, Cyber Smart & AI Workforce, Cyber Smart & AI Internship Program and Cyber & AI Workforce Internship Program.

The combination of technical training, practical exposure, certification and placement support can help young people build capabilities relevant to the evolving digital economy.”

This partnership with NIIT Foundation will provide our students with opportunities to develop competencies in emerging areas such as AI and cybersecurity, along with employability skills. Such collaborations can help strengthen the connection between education, industry requirements and career opportunities for young people.”
Under the MoU, SVSU will facilitate student mobilisation, registration, documentation, attendance and assessments. It will also provide infrastructure for offline sessions, where required, and participate in placement-related processes.
NIIT Foundation will handle student screening, provide course content and learning access, conduct training and online assessments, issue e-certificates to successful students and support eligible students in identifying placement opportunities.
Students will undergo nomination and screening, batch allocation, training, assessment and certification. Those meeting the prescribed requirements, including a minimum attendance of 90%, will receive certificates or e-certificates.
Placement support will be available to eligible students, with employment outcomes depending on individual eligibility, performance and availability of suitable opportunities.
