New Delhi, March 20, 2026: P&G SEHAT, the healthcare-focused CSR initiative of Procter & Gamble Health Limited, has provided free primary healthcare services to over 10,000 women across 10 underserved locations during its special ‘Women Care Week’, conducted in partnership with HelpAge India.
The initiative covered cities including Palghar, Goa, Chennai, Puri, Guwahati, Patna, Fatehpur, Mathura, Rudraprayag, and Jaipur, focusing on elderly women, pregnant and lactating mothers, and adolescent girls.
The camps offered comprehensive healthcare services, including consultations with gynecologists, pediatricians, nutritionists, and general physicians. Beneficiaries also received antenatal care (ANC) support, diagnostic screenings for anemia, blood pressure, and blood sugar, along with free medicines where required. Referral support was provided for continued medical care.
In addition to clinical services, the programme emphasised nutrition awareness and preventive healthcare. Participants were educated on balanced diets and the importance of supplementary nutrition. The camps also facilitated awareness and registration for the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), helping beneficiaries access government healthcare services.
Milind Thatte, Managing Director, P&G Health India, said, “For many underserved communities across the country, access to timely primary healthcare continues to be a challenge owing to several factors – specially for elderly women, pregnant mothers, and adolescent girls. P&G SEHAT’s Women Care Week aimed to bridge this gap by bringing dedicated health camps to the doorsteps of these communities, and by driving awareness on nutrition, and government health services like ABHA for ensuring long-term wellbeing. This special week was a synchronised and coordinated extension of the healthcare access support we continue to provide via our dedicated Mobile Healthcare Units (MHUs) as part of our commitment to improving community health outcomes.”
The Women Care Week initiative builds on P&G SEHAT’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare access through Mobile Healthcare Units (MHUs), which provide regular services in underserved regions. These interventions have supported early screening for conditions such as anemia, hypertension, and diabetes, while promoting maternal and child health awareness.
Through this initiative, P&G SEHAT aims to strengthen preventive healthcare practices, encourage early diagnosis, and empower women with knowledge and resources to manage their health more effectively.
