Jharkhand, March 24, 2026: Nand Ghar, Vedanta’s flagship social impact initiative focused on modernising anganwadis, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Women and Child Development (WCD) Department in Koderma, Jharkhand, to establish 150 new Nand Ghar centres in the district.
The MoU was formalised in the presence of Union Minister of Women & Child Development, Smt. Annapurna Devi, and District Collector of Koderma, Shri Rituraj (IAS). The agreement aims to strengthen grassroots service delivery and improve access to essential services for rural communities.

Speaking on the occasion, District Collector, Shri Rituraj (IAS), stated, “This partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening grassroots service delivery in Koderma through impactful CSR initiatives. The development of 150 Nand Ghars by Vedanta will enhance access to quality nutrition, early childhood education, healthcare, and women-centric livelihood opportunities, ensuring holistic community development across the district.”
