New Delhi, February 26, 2026: The second edition of the Mosambi Climate Conference (MC2), held as part of Delhi Climate Innovation Week (DCIW), brought together policymakers, investors, corporates and climate-focused startups to discuss scaling climate technologies across the Global South.
Organised by the Climate Collective Foundation in partnership with Schneider Electric, the conference focused on aligning capital, policy and innovation to support the deployment of climate solutions beyond pilot stages.
In his plenary address, Amitabh Kant said, “Platforms like this are essential in bringing together policymakers, change agents, innovators, entrepreneurs, financiers and civil society to move from ideas to implementation.”
The 2026 edition featured interventions from leaders including Nicholas Stern, Divya Sharma and Hisham Mundol, along with representatives from companies such as Schneider Electric India, Mahindra Group, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and REC Limited.
Venkat Garimella, Vice President, Sustainability, Schneider Electric India, highlighted the role of digitalisation in energy systems, stating, “The moment you incorporate digital architecture into the energy ecosystem, you will see a transformation. Carbon efficiency, energy efficiency, and now energy intelligence — this is the next frontier to optimize demand side energy, leading to greater resilience and competitiveness.”
The conference included three parallel sessions addressing key challenges in scaling climate solutions. Discussions focused on translating climate research into commercial deployment, strengthening state-level startup ecosystems and leveraging artificial intelligence for grid management and energy efficiency. A Startup Experience Zone enabled interaction between founders, investors and decision-makers.
Divya Sharma, Executive Director at Climate Group, said, “Climate Weeks are important because they bring us together. We need to meet face-to-face. We need to share stories of success. And we also need to create the space for people to discuss the challenges and the barriers. It’s a place to network and form new bonds. Asia now offers climate action and India has emerged as its lead player.”
During the event, announcements were made on new analytics platforms, impact measurement tools and corporate partnerships aimed at improving data transparency and facilitating blended finance for climate solutions in emerging markets.
Delhi Climate Innovation Week is presented by Climate Collective Foundation in partnership with institutions including Mahindra Group, TERI, WRI India and others. Partner organisations convened sessions throughout the week on climate finance, resilience and innovation.
