Mission Samriddhi Hosts 10th Summit to Chart Five-Year Roadmap for Rural Development

Chennai, March 13, 2026: Mission Samriddhi, a national platform focused on holistic rural development, has convened its 10th Summit in Chennai, bringing together more than 320 grassroots leaders, educators, administrators, development practitioners and institutional partners from 15 states. The three-day gathering aims to develop actionable frameworks and a five-year roadmap to strengthen rural transformation across the 1,800 villages currently served under the Mission.

The summit marks the return of Mission Samriddhi’s flagship gathering after a two-year strategic pause. Unlike conventional conferences, the event has been designed as an outcome-oriented platform where participants examine field experiences, refine scalable development models and build measurable strategies for long-term rural progress.

Participants at the summit represent sectors such as education reform, local governance strengthening, livelihood generation, ecological restoration, child protection and financial inclusion. The platform also seeks to ensure that grassroots insights from remote villages contribute directly to shaping national development strategies.

One of the key themes discussed during the summit was the need to move beyond short-term charity models and develop structured approaches to rural development. Mission Samriddhi presented a five-year development model that emphasises institution-building, long-term planning and community-led change instead of one-time interventions or infrastructure-focused CSR projects.

The summit also witnessed the launch of two publications: “Sangam,” a handbook documenting tested rural development models with frameworks, cost structures and timelines, and “Winds of Change,” a collection of village transformation stories highlighting measurable progress in education, livelihoods and community development. These publications aim to convert field-level experiences into replicable models that can be scaled across the country.

Another key focus area of the summit was the role of technology in rural transformation, particularly the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to strengthen the capacity of social organisations. Discussions explored how AI tools could support NGOs in improving grant allocation, enhancing village-level communication systems and scaling training for educators and community leaders.

Speaking about the initiative, Arun Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of Intellect Design Arena and Founder of Mission Samriddhi, said, “True and lasting societal transformation begins with intent. We see rural communities not as beneficiaries of charity, but as drivers of their own growth. Summit 10 is our collective effort to move from fragmented philanthropy to a structured and empathetic architecture of change that respects the dignity of every village.”

Ram Pappu, Executive Director of Mission Samriddhi, added, “Our work is rooted in the belief that sustainable change is an inside-out process. By strengthening the self-worth of marginalized communities and providing them with the requisite competence and connectivity, we are not merely implementing projects; we are fostering a movement of self-actualization. This Summit is the crucible where these diverse learnings are synthesized into scalable models that turn the dream of 'Samriddhi', prosperity for all, into a lived reality for the 1,800 villages we serve.”

As Mission Samriddhi enters its second decade, the summit aims to develop a comprehensive blueprint for rural transformation, including scalable CSR frameworks, AI-enabled NGO support systems, stronger volunteer networks and expanded cross-state collaborations.
