Udaipur, April 14, 2026: Hindustan Zinc has expanded its rural women-led microenterprise brand DAICHI into organised retail and quick commerce, marking a significant step in connecting grassroots producers with urban markets. DAICHI products are now available at Modern Bazaar stores across Delhi NCR and on Blinkit in Delhi.

Launched under the company’s Sakhi and Sakhi Microenterprise initiatives, DAICHI – “The Best from Rural India” – offers a range of FMCG products including pickles, honey, spices, pulses, namkeen, oil, and ghee. These products are handcrafted and managed by rural women entrepreneurs from Rajasthan.

Speaking on the development, Arun Misra, CEO & Whole-time Director, Hindustan Zinc, said: “At Hindustan Zinc, we believe the future of growth lies in inclusion at scale. We are committed to building scalable, women-led enterprises that move beyond local boundaries to become part of mainstream retail ecosystems. DAICHI’s entry into organized retail and quick commerce marks a step towards creating sustainable livelihoods, strengthening grassroots communities, and driving long-term, inclusive social impact.”

The Sakhi initiative has so far empowered over 26,800 women through self-help groups, federations, and MSMEs. More than 300 Sakhi-led committees and federation managers are also supporting grassroots leadership through monitoring and livelihood promotion.

The microenterprise programme has seen steady growth, expanding from five stitching units with 81 women and 86 products in 2018–19 to 14 production units involving over 400 women and more than 300 products across food and textile categories. The initiative generated ₹2.6 crore in revenue in FY26.

In addition to offline retail expansion, the brand has strengthened its digital presence through its own e-commerce platform, Heartswithfingers, along with listings on Amazon, Flipkart, and ONDC. The products have also gained visibility through platforms such as the India International Trade Fair, Jaipur Literature Festival, and Kala Ghoda Festival.

The onboarding of DAICHI products on organised retail and quick commerce platforms reflects evolving consumer preferences and provides rural women entrepreneurs with wider market access. Following its presence in Delhi NCR, the initiative is expected to expand into additional markets.

Through its broader rural livelihood programmes, Hindustan Zinc continues to focus on women’s economic empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive growth, impacting over 23 lakh people across more than 2,300 villages.
