New Delhi, June 05, 2026: Convergint India marked the 25th anniversary of Convergint Social Responsibility Day by undertaking school safety and infrastructure improvement projects across multiple educational institutions under its STEP (Secure, Train, Educate, Protect) Up for Schools initiative.
The company said more than 400 employees across India contributed over 3,400 volunteer hours to support underserved schools and community institutions. The initiative forms part of Convergint’s annual global community engagement programme, which enables employees worldwide to dedicate one paid workday to community service.
This year, Convergint India focused on strengthening safety infrastructure and improving access to essential facilities in schools across Bengaluru, Gurugram, Mumbai, and Chennai.
At Government School Bannerghatta in Bengaluru, the company installed a six-camera video surveillance system, upgraded electrical infrastructure, improved school gates, and carried out campus clean-up and painting activities. At Government Girls School in Gurgaon Village, Gurugram, surveillance systems were installed, electrical systems upgraded, water storage capacity increased by 750 litres, and stair safety strips added.
In Mumbai, BKP High School & Junior College received educational resources including a water purifier, projector, notice boards, and tables, while the school’s existing surveillance system was serviced. At Panchayat Union Middle School in Chennai, new video surveillance systems and additional resources were installed to support campus safety.
