New Delhi, 23 February, 2026: Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited has partnered with the Government of Haryana to expand its Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® (BSBF) programme to 57 lakh school children across the state. The initiative focuses on structured oral health education within Haryana’s public and private school systems.
The BSBF programme currently reaches over 10 million children annually across India. With the Haryana collaboration, oral health awareness and preventive practices will be integrated into the state’s educational framework to encourage habit formation during early years.
Shri Nayab Singh Saini Ji, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, said, “Ensuring the health and well-being of our children is central to our vision for Haryana’s future. Through this collaboration with Colgate, we aim to strengthen awareness and embed preventive oral hygiene practices among students across the state, supporting their overall development and confidence.”
The programme will include in-person sessions conducted by trained facilitators using age-appropriate modules. The curriculum will cover brushing twice daily, timely toothbrush replacement, awareness around tobacco prevention, and nutrition practices that support oral hygiene.
Each participating school will have an Oral Health Board to reinforce preventive messaging. Teachers will also undergo training modules covering teeth anatomy and oral hygiene practices to ensure continued reinforcement in classrooms.
Students will receive take-home dental kits and brushing calendars designed to encourage daily routines at home and promote parental involvement.
Ms. Prabha Narasimhan, MD & CEO, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited, said, “This partnership represents a systemic shift from awareness to large-scale action for 57 lakh children. By embedding Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® into Haryana’s educational framework, we are making preventive care a non-negotiable part of a child’s development. This is about more than hygiene; it is about building a sustainable culture of health that begins in the classroom and lasts a lifetime.”
Ms. Shilpashree Muniswamappa, Director – ESG & Communications, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited, added, “Preventive health education, when delivered consistently and embedded early, creates powerful ripple effects beyond the classroom. Children become ambassadors of healthy habits within their families and communities. This collaboration reinforces our dedication to fostering lasting behavioural change.”
Since its inception, Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® has reached over 195 million children in India and more than 2 billion children and families globally.
