Mumbai, March 03, 2026: Capri Global Capital Ltd. (Capri Loans) has announced that it has joined the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), reinforcing its commitment to climate transparency and sustainable finance.
By becoming a PCAF signatory, Capri Loans will adopt the globally recognised PCAF methodology to measure and disclose financed emissions across its lending portfolio. The move is aimed at strengthening carbon accounting practices and aligning sustainability disclosures with internationally accepted standards.
The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) is a global collaboration of more than 700 financial institutions across six continents. It enables harmonised assessments and disclosures of greenhouse gas emissions associated with financial activities.
As part of the engagement, Capri Loans plans to integrate climate risk assessment into its lending and investment decisions and align its disclosures with the PCAF Global GHG Accounting and Reporting Standard for the Financial Industry. The company stated that this step forms part of its broader strategy to embed environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into long-term growth.
Jinisha Sharma, Principal - ESG & Impact Investments, said, “India’s climate transition presents both responsibility and opportunity for financial institutions. As a responsible NBFC, we recognise our role in enabling sustainable growth by measuring and managing financed emissions. Joining PCAF is a significant step in strengthening our climate risk governance and ensuring transparent, data-driven disclosures aligned with global standards. We remain committed to supporting India’s transition towards a low-carbon economy while creating long-term value for all stakeholders.”
With increasing regulatory focus and stakeholder expectations around climate accountability, measuring financed emissions has become a key component of sustainable finance strategies. Capri Loans said that joining PCAF will enhance the accuracy, consistency and comparability of its climate-related disclosures.
