Pune, March 24, 2026: CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand Group, has completed Phase 2 of its Hope School Programme in Pune, expanding access to education and increasing the total capacity of the school to over 1,400 students.
The newly completed phase was formally inaugurated by Mr. Kishore Moorjani, Chairman, CapitaLand Investment India, along with Mr. Nandkumar Laxman Bhoir, President School Management Bhoirwadi, and CapitaLand staff volunteers. The expansion reflects the foundation’s continued focus on supporting children from underserved communities through improved educational infrastructure.
Phase 2 of the programme includes the addition of 19 newly constructed classrooms, covering around 12,000 square feet, at the Zilla Parishad Primary and Secondary School in Bhoirwadi, Hinjewadi. This builds on Phase 1 completed in 2023, which involved refurbishment of the school along with the introduction of a library, computer lab, science lab, and improved sanitation facilities, supported by local authorities.
With the new additions, the school can now accommodate 760 more students—more than doubling its previous capacity. The upgraded infrastructure aims to provide a safe and conducive learning environment, supporting both academic growth and overall student development.
Mr Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam, Director, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (India), and Chief Executive Officer, CapitaLand India Trust said, “CapitaLand has a strong and growing presence in Maharashtra across business parks, data centres, and logistics and industrial parks. The school, located in close proximity to CapitaLand’s business operations in Pune, reflects our commitment to building what matters for the local communities we are present in. Beyond infrastructure, the support from CapitaLand staff volunteers and community partners creates a more enriching environment for students.”
The CapitaLand Hope School Programme focuses on creating inclusive learning environments that enhance educational outcomes and support long-term social mobility. With the completion of Phase 2 in Pune, the programme now benefits over 3,000 students across multiple schools in cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune.
