Boeing India Partners with Wilton Weavers to Advance Inclusive Aerospace Skilling

Hyderabad, January 29, 2026: Boeing India has announced a partnership with Wilton Weavers to strengthen aerospace manufacturing skills and expand inclusive employment opportunities within India’s growing aviation supply chain.

The collaboration brings together Boeing India’s supply chain skilling initiative, Kaushal, and Wilton Weavers’ Ameyaa programme to create structured training pathways for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, including persons with disabilities. The initiative aims to build supplier capability while enabling participants to transition into mainstream aviation manufacturing roles.

Under the partnership, women with disabilities trained under Wilton Weavers’ Ameyaa programme are receiving additional skilling aligned with Boeing’s global aerospace standards. The enhanced training focuses on aviation carpet manufacturing, a specialised segment that requires high precision and strict adherence to quality and safety requirements.

“Building strong supplier capability and a skilled workforce is essential for the long-term growth of India’s aerospace ecosystem,” said Ashwani Bhargava, Senior Director, India Supply Chain, Boeing. “Through the Kaushal program, we are working with our partners to develop structured training pathways that support sustainable employment and deepen indigenous aerospace manufacturing capability.”

Wilton Weavers’ Ameyaa programme has traditionally focused on integrating women with disabilities into carpet manufacturing through long-term training and stable employment. The integration of Boeing’s Kaushal framework has enabled the programme to align its operations with international aerospace manufacturing benchmarks.

“Ameyaa is guided by our core philosophy of mindful manufacturing, where excellence in products must go hand-in-hand with responsibility to people and the planet,” said Malini Gautham, CEO, Wilton Weavers. “Our collaboration with Boeing’s Kaushal skilling program has strengthened this approach by embedding structured trainings and global standards into our operations, helping build a skilled inclusive workforce that contributes to India’s aerospace supply chain.”

The first cohort under the partnership includes 15 women with disabilities, all of whom have successfully completed the training and are now employed in Wilton Weavers’ aviation manufacturing operations. The graduates are engaged in producing aviation-grade products for global aerospace customers.

Boeing India stated that the partnership demonstrates a scalable model for supplier-led skilling that can be replicated across the aerospace manufacturing ecosystem, supporting both workforce inclusion and long-term industrial capability development.
