BC Jindal Foundation to Increase CSR Spend to ₹16 Crore for Expanding Healthcare Access

New Delhi, April 10, 2026: BC Jindal Foundation, the CSR arm of the BC Jindal Group, has announced plans to more than double its healthcare investment to ₹16 crore in FY 2026–27, up from ₹7 crore in FY 2025–26. The increased allocation aims to strengthen healthcare accessibility and affordability across underserved regions in India.

The expanded investment will focus on scaling healthcare infrastructure, increasing patient capacity, and improving access to subsidised dialysis services and specialised diagnostic testing. The initiative is part of the Foundation’s broader efforts to address gaps in healthcare access, particularly in high-need areas.

Over the past five years, the Foundation’s healthcare network has impacted more than 6 lakh beneficiaries, with around 1.60 lakh individuals served in FY 2025–26 alone. Its clinical services span multiple specialties, including general medicine, nephrology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, dental care, and physiotherapy. These services are supported by diagnostic facilities such as dialysis units, X-ray, ultrasound, and pathology labs.

In addition to healthcare delivery, the Foundation’s skill development initiatives train youth as general duty assistants and phlebotomy assistants, contributing to both healthcare workforce development and livelihood generation.

Internal assessments indicate significant community reliance on these services. In Derang village, Odisha, 64% of respondents identified BCJF centres as their primary healthcare provider. In West Bengal’s Belur region, 82% of visitors preferred the BCJ Health Centre, with nearly 97% reporting reduced healthcare expenses and over half noting improved health outcomes. Similar trends have been observed at the Foundation’s facility in Civil Lines, Delhi, where increased patient footfall reflects growing demand for affordable care.

A BC Jindal Group spokesperson said, “Approximately 70% of India’s population resides in areas where infrastructure gaps and rising costs often hinder access to quality medical care. The BC Jindal Foundation (BCJF) is directly addressing these challenges by expanding a robust healthcare ecosystem for underserved communities. By providing high-quality medical services at minimal cost, the Foundation ensures that quality treatment remains a fundamental right rather than a privilege for both urban and rural populations.”

The spokesperson added, “The Foundation’s integrated model combines clinical excellence with aggressive community outreach, including awareness sessions and specialized screening camps for early disease detection, deeply aligning with Sustainable Development Goals for health, education, and economic growth.”

The BC Jindal Group has spent approximately ₹23 crore on healthcare initiatives over the past five years. In FY26 alone, the Group invested ₹40 crore across CSR programmes, with continued focus on healthcare, skill development, nutrition, and animal welfare. Future efforts will be concentrated in states including Delhi, West Bengal, Haryana, and Maharashtra.
