New Delhi, May 07, 2026: Ambuja Foundation has partnered with Kanohar Electricals Limited to establish a Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institute in Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh. The three-year initiative aims to train over 1,000 rural youth with employment-oriented skills.
Located in Ghaziabad district, Modinagar is part of the Delhi NCR region but continues to face challenges such as unemployment and limited access to skill-based opportunities in nearby villages, including Saunda. A field assessment by Ambuja Foundation identified gaps in industry-relevant technical skills, practical exposure, and career awareness among educated youth in the area.
The institute will offer structured training programmes in areas such as phlebotomy, general duty assistance, OT assistance, customer care, and microfinance. In addition to technical courses, participants will receive training in soft skills, IT, financial literacy, and workplace readiness, along with on-the-job training to enhance practical experience.
The programme also includes a focus on occupational health and safety to ensure trainees are prepared for professional environments and improve long-term employability.
Pearl Tiwari, CEO, Ambuja Foundation, said, “With the growing demand for a skilled workforce across sectors, it is becoming increasingly important to bridge the skills gap and equip youth with industry-relevant capabilities. Through this strategic partnership with Kanohar Electricals Limited, we aim empowering youth with the skills, confidence and opportunities needed to build sustainable careers and improve their socio-economic well-being.”
Shri Dinesh Singhal, Chairman and Managing Director of Kanohar Electricals Limited, added: "At Kanohar Electricals Limited, we believe that investing in skills development is essential for building inclusive economic growth. Through this collaboration with Ambuja Foundation, we hope to create meaningful opportunities for young people in rural Uttar Pradesh, enabling them to gain industry-relevant skills and access better livelihood prospects."
The initiative is expected to connect rural youth with employment opportunities in the NCR region while contributing to improved incomes and economic mobility for local communities.
