Mumbai, March 10, 2026: Acronis, a global cyber protection company, has released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, outlining progress across sustainability, workforce engagement and responsible technology practices during the year.
The report highlights the company’s efforts to strengthen responsible business practices while advancing innovation in cyber protection and artificial intelligence (AI). It details Acronis’ initiatives across environmental performance, social impact and governance, alongside measurable progress in key ESG indicators during 2025.
According to the report, Acronis improved several ESG metrics compared to the previous year. The company reported a 40% reduction in total Scope 1–3 greenhouse gas emissions compared with 2024, with Scope 3 emissions accounting for 98% of its total footprint. Efforts to improve transparency in emissions accounting and collaboration with sustainability advisory partners also contributed to stronger environmental reporting.
“This ESG report reflects our commitment to building a resilient, ethical, and sustainable organization — one that protects not only data, but also people, communities, and the environment,” said Alona Geckler, SVP of Business Operations and Chief of Staff at Acronis. “Our 2025 ESG Report demonstrates how we embed responsible business practices into both our strategy and daily operations. By providing transparency into our performance, we create long-term value for our partners and give them confidence in our sustainable operations and business stability. We are committed to strengthening trust and contributing to a more secure digital future.”
The report also highlights Acronis’ use of AI across its operations and product development while maintaining governance frameworks to ensure responsible deployment. The company introduced an AI Use Policy covering data protection, human oversight and responsible use cases. Internally, AI tools are widely used across the organisation, with more than 80% of employees using AI tools weekly, while over 300 engineers use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
On the environmental front, the company implemented initiatives such as migrating over 100 petabytes of Frankfurt data centre workloads to energy-efficient facilities certified under ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards. The company also matched 70% of its electricity consumption with renewable energy attribute certificates.
Employee engagement and community initiatives also expanded in 2025. Through its Voice of Employees programme, the company implemented around 50% of employee-submitted ideas aimed at improving workplace culture and operations. More than 600 employees contributed 2,378 volunteer hours across 129 community projects during the year.
Under the Acronis Cyber Foundation Program, the company supported community development initiatives including three school construction projects benefiting 1,289 children, eight IT skills programmes reaching over 550 learners, and 40 cyber safety workshops engaging more than 2,100 participants.
The company also strengthened governance and accountability by conducting its first Double Materiality Assessment, appointing a Board Sustainability Champion, and launching tools such as Compliance Navigator to help managed service providers and customers navigate regulatory requirements.
In addition, Acronis Academy continued its global training initiatives, training over 4,000 partner employees each quarter across 162 countries, supporting skills development and strengthening the company’s partner ecosystem.
