Hyderabad, January 22, 2025: The Indian School of Business (ISB) and the Veni Rao Foundation have joined forces to launch the annual ‘Veni Rao Tech for Social Good Challenge’, aimed at driving innovative solutions to address pressing social challenges. Backed by a ₹1 Crore endowment from the foundation, the initiative will leverage ISB’s academic expertise to identify and nurture scalable, high-impact ideas.
The inaugural challenge focuses on digital health innovations, with ISB’s Max Institute of Healthcare Management (MIHM) leading the effort. By fostering ideas that harness emerging technologies, the initiative seeks to address critical gaps in healthcare delivery for underserved communities.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to driving social impact through innovation,” said Ratna Reddy, Founder-Trustee of the Veni Rao Foundation and Founder of CHIREC International School. “By engaging diverse stakeholders, the annual challenge will accelerate the development of practical solutions that improve lives in underserved communities.”
Building on the Veni Rao Foundation’s impactful healthcare initiatives, including mobile health clinics and surgical facilities across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, the challenge serves as a platform for professionals, startups, and students to develop solutions that enhance healthcare access and outcomes.
Professor Sarang Deo, Deputy Dean, Faculty & Research, and Executive Director, MIHM, ISB, added, “There is a growing need to optimize emerging digital technologies to address pressing healthcare challenges. This partnership will validate these innovations and measure their impact on clinical and non-clinical outcomes.”
The initiative highlights the role of technology in addressing social challenges and improving healthcare access in underserved areas.
