Rajasthan, 29 July 2025: SAEL Industries Limited recently concluded a series of training and awareness sessions aimed at promoting climate-smart agricultural practices among farmers in Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Held across six locations—Firozpur, Jaito, Channu, and Jalkheri in Punjab; Kaithal in Haryana; and Jasrasar in Rajasthan—the initiative engaged more than 200 local farmers.
The sessions, led by Dr. Navish Kataria, Professor of Environmental Sciences at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, focused on sustainable farming solutions including organic agriculture, stubble management, water conservation, and vermicomposting. Farmers were also introduced to income-generating opportunities through agri-waste management and learned how to access certifications for national and international markets.
The initiative is part of SAEL’s broader commitment to community development through its Agri Waste-to-Energy power plants. It aims to address critical regional challenges such as stubble burning, soil degradation, and water scarcity, while promoting environmentally friendly and economically viable farming methods.
“At SAEL, our commitment to the farming community runs deep—they are the backbone of our ecosystem and a vital force in our journey toward sustainable progress. We believe that true development must uplift society while preserving the environment, and we are determined to play our part in mitigating the impact of climate change. By continuing to collaborate closely with farmers, we aim to build resilient partnerships that drive inclusive growth and long-term sustainability,” said Sukhbir Singh, Director, SAEL Industries Limited.
This initiative underscores the need for practical, expert-led education to help farming communities improve soil health, reduce air pollution, and build resilience against climate change—while contributing to long-term rural prosperity.
