New Delhi, December 11, 2025: Muthoot Finance, India’s largest gold-loan NBFC, has launched its new CSR initiative Muthoot Shiksha Jyothi, aimed at strengthening digital learning infrastructure in government schools. As part of the project’s first phase, the company has deployed 75 smart interactive panels (65-inch screens) across Government Upper Primary and High Schools in multiple regions.

The initiative was formally launched at Paul George Global School in New Delhi, in the presence of Shri Vijender Gupta, Hon’ble Speaker, Vidhan Sabha, Delhi; Smt. Shikha Roy, MLA, Greater Kailash; Shri Alexander George Muthoot, Joint Managing Director, Muthoot Finance; and Shri George M. George, Deputy Managing Director, Muthoot Finance.

The programme will benefit government schools in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Ludhiana (Punjab), Odisha, Mumbai, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Pune, Kolkata, Siliguri, Raipur and Guwahati.

Shri Alexander George Muthoot, Joint Managing Director, Muthoot Finance, said, “Education continues to be the cornerstone of our CSR philosophy, accounting for nearly 75 percent of our overall CSR spending. Through ‘Muthoot Shiksha Jyothi’, we are strengthening digital infrastructure in government schools to enable better access to technology-driven education for students across regions.”

Mr. George M. George, Deputy Managing Director, Muthoot Finance, said,  “Our CSR approach is focused on creating long-term impact at the grassroots level. With ‘Muthoot Shiksha Jyothi’, we are addressing a real infrastructure gap by enabling access to digital learning tools that can support both teachers and students in everyday classroom instruction.”

The installed smart interactive panels are aimed at improving classroom engagement, supporting digital teaching methods and helping bridge the digital divide in public education. Muthoot Finance will review the implementation outcomes of the pilot phase and, based on learnings and impact, plans to expand the programme to additional locations in the next phases, aligned with regional needs.
