New Delhi, August 29, 2025: Max Healthcare Foundation has announced the third edition of its flagship Max Medical Scholarship Programme, which aims to empower meritorious students from economically weaker sections pursuing medical education.
Under the programme, the Foundation will fully fund the medical education of 100 new students every year who have qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and secured admission to MBBS programmes in government medical colleges across Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Dehradun, and Bathinda for the academic year 2025-26.
In addition to supporting new applicants, the initiative will continue to fund students selected in previous years who are currently in the second and third year of their MBBS studies, ensuring uninterrupted assistance throughout their academic journey.
Speaking on the announcement, Mrs. Taruna Soi, Chairperson, Max Healthcare Foundation, said, “Financial constraints often force bright students from underprivileged backgrounds to abandon their dreams of becoming doctors. To empower such students, we are proud to announce the third edition of Max Medical Scholarship Programme, an initiative that will fully fund the medical education of another 100 deserving students. Rooted in our core values of care and compassion, this corporate social responsibility initiative reflects our commitment to building a more equitable healthcare ecosystem. By supporting these future medical professionals, we are not just enabling individual aspirations — we are nurturing talent, breaking systemic barriers, and shaping a more inclusive and healthier tomorrow.”
The scholarship covers tuition fees for the entire five-year MBBS course, along with additional support such as a personal laptop, textbooks, essential tools like bone sets, dissection kits, and stethoscopes, as well as an allowance for monthly expenses. Mentorship opportunities will also be provided to help students navigate their academic and professional development.
Applications for the programme open on August 30, 2025, and will be accepted until September 20, 2025, through the Foundation’s official website. The selection process will include application reviews, interviews, and assessment of socio-economic criteria alongside NEET ranks, with final decisions made by a jury from the Foundation.
The Max Medical Scholarship Programme is part of Max Healthcare Foundation’s broader CSR efforts, which also include skills training for sustainable livelihoods and initiatives in water sustainability. Since its inception, the programme has grown into one of the largest annual scholarship grants for medical education in India.
