Bengaluru, September 03, 2025: Flipkart Foundation, the charitable arm of the Flipkart Group, in collaboration with Smile Foundation, has completed an initiative aimed at empowering underserved communities across Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Adilabad (Telangana). The programme focused on primary healthcare, menstrual hygiene education, and financial literacy training, directly benefitting more than 9,700 individuals and indirectly impacting over 26,000 community members.
The initiative provided comprehensive health camps offering medical consultations, awareness sessions on preventive diseases, diagnostic tests, and free medications. Special emphasis was placed on adolescent girls, with anaemia screenings, menstrual hygiene workshops, distribution of sanitary products, and capacity-building for community health workers. Financial literacy sessions were also held to help teenagers learn skills related to budgeting, saving, credit, and basic investment practices.

This marks the second successful collaboration between Flipkart Foundation and Smile Foundation. In addition to healthcare and financial literacy, their partnership also empowers underprivileged youth with industry-relevant employment skills in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
The outcomes of the latest programme include improved health-seeking behaviour, reduced stigma around menstrual health, and enhanced financial management skills among beneficiaries. Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to fostering resilient communities by equipping them with essential resources and knowledge.
