Bengaluru, Aug 28, 2025: CitiusTech, a healthcare technology, services, and solutions provider, has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The move underscores the company’s focus on ethical business practices, global development goals, and purpose-driven innovation.

The UN’s 2025 SDG progress assessment revealed that only 35% of the 169 targets are on track, with nearly half showing insufficient progress and 18% regressing below 2015 levels. Against this backdrop, corporate participation in initiatives such as the UNGC is considered critical to accelerating sustainable development.

By adopting the UNGC’s 10 principles into its strategy and operations, CitiusTech is scaling measurable impact through programs like mobile health units in underserved areas, STEM education for marginalized youth, afforestation drives, clean energy adoption, and inclusive hiring practices.

“At CitiusTech, we believe technology is a powerful force for equity, health, and sustainability. By aligning with global standards while remaining rooted in local needs, we can scale our impact meaningfully,” said Punam Shejale, CISO and Head of CSR & Sustainability, CitiusTech. “Joining the UN Global Compact initiative is a natural step for us. As a healthcare technology leader, our mission to catalyze healthier lives aligns closely with the UNSDGs, particularly those focused on health, innovation, equality, and climate action.”

CitiusTech has embedded ESG principles into stakeholder engagement, client mandates, and regulatory preparedness. Joining the UNGC enhances its competitiveness in global partnerships and strengthens its standing as a responsible partner for healthcare and life sciences organizations.

The company’s CSR and employee well-being initiatives support UNSDGs related to health, education, clean energy, climate action, diversity, and inclusion. Its broader sustainability efforts are rooted in its values of Passion, Respect, Openness, Unity, and Depth of Knowledge.
