Coimbatore, Apr 17, 2025: Keeranatham Panchayat in Coimbatore has been awarded the ‘Best Self-Sufficient Infrastructure’ honour at the National Panchayat Awards 2024, presented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India. This recognition highlights Keeranatham’s comprehensive approach to infrastructure, sustainability, and community empowerment, with Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) playing a pivotal role in these efforts.
BGSW’s CSR initiatives have been instrumental in transforming Keeranatham into a model of self-sufficiency and sustainable development. Kranthi Kumar Pati, I.A.S., Former District Collector of Coimbatore and currently the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, formally recognized BGSW's CSR impact by presenting an appreciation letter.
Pati had invited Naved Narayan, Vice President and R&D Center Head at BGSW Coimbatore, and the CSR team to receive this letter in acknowledgment of Bosch's role as a catalyst in Keeranatham Panchayat’s transformation, which earned it the "Best Self-Sufficient Infrastructure" award at the National Panchayat Awards 2024.
In collaboration with CSR partners, BGSW has spearheaded community development in areas such as education, healthcare, waste management, and skill development. The ‘My Dream School’ initiative has enhanced Panchayat Union Middle School with smart classrooms and infrastructure improvements, benefiting over 220 students annually. Early Intervention Center was newly built and offers assessments for early detection and specialized care to 40+ children with developmental delays. Through its partnership with Panchayat, our solid waste management project in the housing board area has achieved wet waste source segregation and transformed waste into valuable resources. Additionally, the youth empowerment skill-based training program equips over 50 individuals annually with job-ready skills at the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board in Keeranatham.
Among 2,68,938 panchayats across India, Keeranatham has become a benchmark for public-private collaboration in rural transformation. Panchayat President R Palanisamy and Secretary N Balaji received an award from President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi. Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, commended the collective effort, stating, “This recognition is a testament to the transformative impact of collaborative approach between administration and corporate entities.
