Bengaluru, June 10, 2025: Volvo Group India observed Pride Month with a series of events aimed at promoting awareness and inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community within the workplace. The initiatives included awareness sessions, talks, storytelling circles, and an internal #PrideAtWork campaign.
A highlight of the month was the second Pride March held at Volvo Group’s Bengaluru office in Bagmane Tech Park. The event saw participation from employees, allies, and members of the leadership team in a show of support for LGBTQIA+ inclusion.
As part of the celebrations, noted Kannada author and LGBTQ+ advocate Vasudhendra Shroff addressed employees. His talk focused on identity and belonging, encouraging reflection on the importance of authenticity in the workplace.
Volvo Group India launched its Pride movement in 2023 and has continued efforts to build an inclusive culture. The initiatives are part of a broader approach to embed diversity and inclusion into the company’s daily operations.
“Volvo Group India is committed to creating a workplace that’s not only diverse by design but also inclusive by choice,” said Kamal Bali, President & Managing Director, Volvo Group India. “Celebrating Pride Month is one of many steps we’re taking to ensure that everyone—regardless of identity—feels welcome, seen, and celebrated. As we move forward, we remain steadfast in driving meaningful inclusion, inside our organization and beyond.”
