Veteran Sustainability Leader with Global ESG Experience
Santhosh Jayaram brings more than 30 years of experience spanning over 20 countries, working with multinational corporations, advisory firms, and sustainability standard-setting bodies. He previously served as Global Head of Sustainability at HCL Technologies, where he led enterprise-wide sustainability transformation, net-zero initiatives, and ESG integration across global operations.
His earlier leadership roles include senior positions at KPMG and DNV, where he was instrumental in building ESG consulting practices and advising organisations on sustainability strategy, climate risk, and governance frameworks. Jayaram has also actively contributed to global sustainability standards through his engagement with international reporting and accountability initiatives.
Strong Academic Foundation and Thought Leadership
Jayaram holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Calicut University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay. He has further enhanced his expertise through advanced studies in sustainable technologies at the University of California, Berkeley.
Beyond corporate leadership, he is widely respected for his thought leadership in ESG and sustainability. His work has been featured in academic case studies, and he continues to engage with industry forums, policy discussions, and knowledge platforms to advance responsible business practices globally.
