Chennai, October 09, 2025: Verizon India, in partnership with the International Foundation for Crime Prevention & Victim Care (PCVC), has launched THRIVE — the Trauma Healing & Recovery Initiative for Survivors of Violence — to provide trauma-informed mental health and wellbeing services for survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence (DV/IPV) and their children.
The THRIVE Centre has been designed to deliver holistic care that includes therapeutic interventions, recreational activities, and economic empowerment programs tailored to the needs of survivors. The initiative focuses on recovery from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other long-term impacts of trauma, helping survivors reclaim confidence, identity, and stability.
As part of its first-year goal, THRIVE aims to reach and support 300 survivors of domestic violence, ensuring each receives sustained, personalized care. The initiative represents Verizon India and PCVC’s shared commitment to breaking cycles of violence, isolation, and stigma by creating inclusive and trauma-informed spaces for healing.
A long-term program, THRIVE integrates therapy, recreation, community-building, and financial independence to help survivors rebuild their lives at their own pace. The initiative underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between corporates and civil society in advancing gender equality and survivor-centered rehabilitation.
The International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC), based in Chennai, has been working since 2001 to address domestic and interpersonal violence through crisis management, legal advocacy, psychosocial support, and long-term rehabilitative resources.
