Kharagpur, August 24, 2026: Saurabh Mishra, Vice President, Medhavi Skills University, participated as a panellist in a discussion on “The Future of Management” at the VGSoM Alumni Conclave 2026, hosted by the Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM), IIT Kharagpur. The panel examined how artificial intelligence, technology and changing business models are reshaping management and leadership.

The discussion focused on the changing nature of managerial roles as organisations increasingly adopt AI and hybrid work models. Mishra highlighted the emerging role of managers in leading teams comprising both people and AI agents, noting that as routine execution shifts towards AI, human judgement and accountability will remain important aspects of leadership.

Mr. Saurabh also discussed the changing requirements for management education and how Medhavi Skills University is preparing students for an AI-enabled workplace. The university’s MBA programme combines coursework in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics with its Work Integrated Skill Education (WISE) model, which integrates classroom learning with workplace experience.

The panel was part of the VGSoM Alumni Conclave ’26, held at the Netaji Auditorium at IIT Kharagpur on August 22. The event brought together alumni and other participants for discussions on the future skills and capabilities expected of management professionals. The event material identified the broader discussion theme as “Future MBA: The Skills That Will Matter in 2035.”

The conversation comes amid growing adoption of AI across business functions, placing greater emphasis on management education that combines technological understanding with decision-making, leadership and practical workplace exposure.
