Mysuru | September 28, 2026: A partnership between Titan Company Limited and the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) has reached around 5,000 people across Karnataka, primarily in tribal and rural communities in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts.

The partnership began in 2013 with tribal education and expanded in 2020-21 to include skilling, livelihoods, entrepreneurship and clean energy. The programme has recorded an 86% livelihood and placement success rate, while more than half of its beneficiaries belong to SC/ST communities.

On September 28, 2026, Mr. Anil Chaudhry, Independent Director, Titan Company Limited, and other Titan representatives visited programme sites across Mysuru district, meeting women entrepreneurs, sericulture alumni and tribal students and reviewing biogas and poultry initiatives.

These outcomes reinforce why long-term social investment belongs at the heart of how Titan creates value for its stakeholders.”

That commitment, which is part of our sustainability programme Pragati, runs across India, from restoring native forest in Hosur to supporting craftspeople across 20 states through Project Tarasha. Our partnership with SVYM in Mysuru shows the same approach at the household level, where 453 household biogas units are replacing firewood with clean cooking fuel."

Women and girls account for a significant share of the programme's beneficiaries. More than 75% of scholarship beneficiaries are young women, while more than 70 high-potential girls receive residential STEM-focused education through the Viveka Chetana Programme. Most of the 80 entrepreneurs supported are women operating millet, silage and dairy enterprises.

Since 2020-21, SVYM's Viveka Rural Livelihood Centre has reached 3,788 rural and tribal youth, women, farmers and persons with disabilities. Around 85% of trainees have been placed, with 722 youth trainees earning an average of ₹12,000 a month. More than 2,000 farmers have received training, with 1,952 reporting higher incomes.

The clean energy component has also expanded, with 453 household biogas units installed across 38 villages over the past 18 months. According to the programme, these units have helped families save about ₹26 lakh.
