New Delhi, July 01, 2025: TELUS Digital has launched its India Community Board as part of its global “We Give Where We Live” initiative, marking a new chapter in its social impact efforts. The Board has announced an initial commitment of USD 200,000 to support 11 grassroots NGO-led projects across India. These projects are expected to benefit more than 2,100 individuals in underserved communities.

Focused on the themes of health, education, and environmental sustainability, the supported projects include school renovations, digital literacy training, youth employment programs, reforestation efforts, nutrition support for children living with HIV, and cervical cancer prevention.

Among the beneficiaries are Bright Future’s Bulandi program, which provides skill development to 160 youth in Ahmedabad; CATCH Foundation’s initiative to plant 1,000 native trees using the Miyawaki method; and Etasha Society’s AtmaNirbhar program offering job-oriented training to 220 youth from low-income communities. Other projects include providing HPV vaccinations, supporting specially abled children, promoting sustainable livelihoods among migrant women, and enhancing IT skills among women from marginalized backgrounds.

“The TELUS Digital India Community Board represents our deep-rooted commitment to building stronger, healthier communities,” said Rajiv M. Dhand, Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific and Africa at TELUS Digital. “Through strategic partnerships with NGOs, community-led initiatives, and our volunteering efforts, we've positively impacted over 25,000 lives in India and contributed more than INR 86 million ($1 million) in grants to local communities in the past 6 years. This is more than philanthropy – it's about creating sustainable change and empowering communities to thrive. As we continue this journey, we're focused on expanding our impact and transforming even more lives through meaningful, long-term partnerships.”

In addition to financial grants, TELUS Digital India continues to support year-round volunteer programs under the “TELUS Days of Giving” banner, focusing on activities such as school renovations, teacher training, environmental conservation, and digital literacy.

The Community Board builds on TELUS Digital’s global giving efforts, which have already reached over 1.2 million lives across countries including Bulgaria, the Philippines, El Salvador, Romania, and Guatemala.
