Mumbai, October 18, 2025: ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (India) (STT GDC India), one of India’s leading co-location data centre service providers, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to invest up to ₹5,000 crore for the development of world-class data centre campuses in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Pune.
The signing ceremony, held in Mumbai, was attended by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, senior state officials, and leadership teams from STT GDC. With an established presence across 10 major Indian cities including Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Noida, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad, this expansion strengthens STT GDC India’s pan-India footprint.
Under the MoU, the company will expand its major data centre parks in Mumbai and Pune, including the development of a new large-scale campus in Palava, spanning over 27 acres and purpose-built for AI and high-density computing. The investment is expected to generate more than 500 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect employment opportunities, contributing to the state’s economic and digital growth.
